Point-in-time recovery

Current status of point-in-time recovery in Parix.

Point-in-time recovery is not available in the current product.

Current state

The existing backups page includes a point-in-time recovery card, but it is explicitly marked as coming soon:

  • restore controls are disabled
  • branch selection is disabled
  • restore execution is not wired as a shipped workflow

What this means for operators

Today you should treat PITR as unavailable:

  • do not design operational procedures around point-in-time restore
  • do not assume retained backup artifacts imply a supported restore flow
  • use backup history for visibility only, not for self-service restoration

Product contract

The current product contract explicitly says:

  • backup artifacts can be retained after database deletion
  • restore from backup remains out of scope in the current contract

When PITR becomes a real product surface, this page should be updated with the concrete workflow, prerequisites, and recovery guarantees.
